We are teaching in a virtual world! And it works! Threedimensional Second Life® is a three dimensional virtual environment, that was created by its over 15 million registered visitors. Therefore you find a big variety of very different landscapes, continents and worlds. You can visit a German "Biergarten", a Japanese teahouse or a multitude of towns, castles or other fantasy surroundings. Everyone created those things that he liked best. Education-platform Furthermore Second Life is an e-learning platform, where you can learn practically everything from meditation to languages or creating 3D-elements. Our teaching is always live and via voice which creates a nearly livelike learning-surrounding. Volkshochschule Volkshochschule is the brand name of a national governmental adult education organisation in Germany. In almost every town in Germany there are classes from one of the over 1000 Volkshochschul-institutes. All Volkshochschulen (vhs) are working individually but are cooperating together. In March 2007 the Volkshochschule of Goslar, a small town between Hannover and Göttingen in the north of Germany, opened an extension in Second Life. In February 2008 we won the European e-learning award eureleA 2008 for our unconventional ideas in teaching in Second Life and for our way of keeping contact to customers and interested residents.
